Police say two men were conducting the transaction inside the home, not a dispensary, when a fight broke out. One of the men reportedly pulled out a gun, shooting and killing the other man.

"We found one man who appeared to be shot in the head. A short time later a suspect walks into Denver Health Medical Center with a gunshot wound as well," Sonny Jackson with Denver police said. "What we’ve learned through the investigation is that these two individuals were conducting a transaction for medical marijuana."

Police aren’t sure how the suspect was shot.
